The author has almost 20 years of experience in working with people with disabilities. He started in a teaching position at a sheltered workshop in California and moved on to work as a custodial crew supervisor. After moving to Washington state he did some residential work, supervised another custodial crew and has served as a job coach for the past 7 years.
